In April 2022, she was appointed principal guest director of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, a position that marks a new chapter for the artist. The new position will lead her to conduct that orchestra twice per season for the next two years. Her convincing musical vision and passion have made her a respected artist around the world.
In the summer of 2022, Alondra de la Parra founded the first edition of the PAAX GNP festival. In Mexico, the conductor received renowned musicians from all over the world, such as Julian Prégardien, Guy Braunstein, Nemanja Radulovic, Pacho Flores and Aleksey Igudesman, with whom she shared the stage in five concerts.
She has co-created "The Silence of Sound", a multidisciplinary show that through the philharmonic orchestra, a performance clown and an avant-garde video installation, attracts audiences of all ages with a new form of musical experience. The project is presented for the first time on a tour of Mexico and Spain in the 2022-2023 season.
In celebration of the history of friendship between Mexico and Spain, the director recorded the proposed record label Olé México. It is a symphonic concert of Mexican popular songs in the voice of three immense singers: Buika, Pitingo and Lila Downs.
Another highlight of the 2022-2023 season is her Brahms cycle with the Münchner Symphoniker. Alondra de la Parra presents all the symphonies of Brahms integrated into an exciting program of concerts in four evenings throughout October.
She is a regular guest of the Royal Opera House in London. In fact, she is the first Mexican conductor to conduct there. This season Alondra de la Parra directed the acclaimed world premiere of Joby Talbot's ballet "Like Water for Chocolate" for the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in London (Choreography: Christopher Wheeldon). Now she will take this production to California and the Metropolitan Opera in New York along with the American Ballet.
The season is completed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, the Orquestra Nacionale y Choir de España, the Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester, the Orchester de la Suisse Romande, the Orchester Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, the DR SymfoniOrkestret, the Orquestra Sinfónica do Estado de São Paulo, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai Torino and the Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia.

As a pioneer in the field of digital formats, Alondra de la Parra appears regularly in the musical format "Música Maestra", having already recorded more than 60 episodes. Since July 2017, the German network Deutsche Welle has been broadcasting a series of web videos and television programs in which the conductor appears as the protagonist and reporter. In the last three seasons she has interviewed personalities such as John Malkovich, Jan Lisiecki, Gautier Capuçon, Zenaida Yanowsky and has filmed in the most important international cultural venues.
Among the highlights of the previous seasons is the acclaimed stage production of Carlos Padrissa, by Mozart, Thamos, King of Egypt, with the Camerata Salzburg and the theatrical collective La Fura dels Baus at the Salzburg Mozartwoche 2019 (repeated at the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence), concerts with the Orchestre de Paris (broadcast live by ARTE), Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Bamberg Symphoniker, Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester, Rundfunk Sinfonie Orchester Berlin, Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Verbier Festival Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, and a live orchestral performance of the movie West Side Story in front of 10,000 spectators in the Auditorium National of Mexico.
While studying piano and direction at the Manhattan School of Music, Alondra founded the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas (POA) in 2004, at the age of 23. Her intention was to create an orchestra that would serve as a platform to show young performers and composers from the Americas, placing the music of the Americas among the standard orchestral repertoire. Her first recording, Mi Alma Mexicana, was released by Sony Classical to celebrate the Anniversary of Mexico's Bicentennial. It reached the top 10 on the U.S. classical music charts and was the first classical music recording in Mexico to reach platinum sales, which it achieved in just 2 months.
